Dr Baskhron has been a leader in private practice in New York since 2014. He has performed over 5 thousand podiatric surgical procedures including some of the most complicated congenital and acquired foot and ankle deformities. Dr. Baskhron is one of few foot and ankle podiatric surgeons who completed a 4-year residency training focusing only on foot and ankle pathologies. Although Dr. Baskhron’s focus is on diabetic foot complications, limb salvage & reconstruction, he also treats various foot & ankle disorders, sports injuries, arthritis, flatfeet, bunion, and hammer toes. Dr. Baskhron completed his pre-medical education at Rutgers University, then he received his medical degree from NY College of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed 4-year Foot & Ankle surgical residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Richmond University Medical Center, and Plainview Hospital. Dr. Baskhron sees patients at Bard Podiatry Associates and Forward Foot & Ankle Associates at various locations. He operates at Staten Island Hospital, Richmond University Medical Center, and various surgery centers in NY and NJ. In his free time, he likes to play and coach soccer or spend time with his lovely wife and 3 children

About Dr. Sally Beshai, DPM

Dr. Sally Beshai is an experienced Podiatric Surgeon and has received numerous awards for her work. Dr. Beshai was trained by Dr. Edward Ferdinando, DPM at the Staten Island Hospital and continued to gain experience, by serving with Dr. Ferdinando, until he retired. Dr. Beshai has also served in the Burn, Plastic, and Vascular Surgery departments at the Staten Island Hospital, as Chief Podiatric Surgical Resident.

About Dr. Liliya Gumenik, DPM

Doctor Liliya Gumenik is a highly trained podiatrist specialized in foot and ankle disease including foot pain, diabetic foot, wound care and many other diseases of the feet.

She received multiple recognitions during her studies in New York College of Podiatric Medicine where she completed her medical degree.

Dr. Gumenik continued to sharpen her skills and knowledge in highly rated versatile residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at NSLIJ Forest Hills Hospital, where she underwent extensive training in all aspects of podiatric medicine and completed comprehensive rotations in internal medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, orthopedics, pathology, infection disease, wound care and Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy. During her training Dr Gumenik worked in multiple hospitals and wound care centers in Long Island and Queens. During her extensive training she attained a highly regarded Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Certification.

Dr. Gumenik is board certified by American Board of Podiatric Medicine, she has a special interest in diabetes, wound care, kinesiology and surgery. She is using her extensive knowledge and skills to treat multiple foot pathologies. She is affiliated with NSLIJ Lenox Hill Hospital, Forest Hills Hospital and SIUH.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Bard Podiatry Associates has many resources available to help patients feel and look their best, including access to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, or HBOT, is the medical use of oxygen at a level higher than atmospheric pressure, using a pressure chamber to promote better and faster healing. HBOT can be used to help treat diabetic foot wounds, diabetic foot ulcers and according to the American Diabetes Association, HBOT can even help in preventing an amputation.
